Social Impact Award at Infrastructure New Zealand’s Building Nations
We’re thrilled to share that NIFF has won the Social Impact Award at Infrastructure New Zealand‘s Building Nations for the Rural and Marae Drinking Water Programme.
This award recognises the significant difference this programme is making in communities across Aotearoa, with 131 installations now providing safe drinking water to more than 137,500 people every day.
A special thank you to Rebecca Huckle MAPMP for leading this work, and to Geof Stewart for providing technical expertise throughout the programme.
Official opening of the new Pekapeka–Rissington Bridge
On Saturday 26 September, NIFF was proud to attend the official opening of the new Pekapeka–Rissington Bridge in Hastings, funded by the government’s Cyclone Recovery Programme.
This bridge replaces the original Rissington Bridge which was destroyed during Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023.
