We can provide corporate finance advice to Government departments and agencies seeking to secure private funding and/or private financing to support procurement of complex infrastructure projects and other service enabling infrastructure.
Examples of specific support that we can provide are:
Feasibility Studies for Business Case development: assess a project’s viability, including cost estimates, potential revenue streams, ability to secure appropriately priced private capital, and economic impact
Funding Structure and Financing: help design the optimal funding structure, which may include a mix of private investment, public funding and debt financing. This could involve exploring public-private partnerships (PPPs), project financing (structured financing specifically for infrastructure projects, where the project’s cash flow serves as the primary source of repayment), securitisation (conversion of future revenue/cash flows into immediate capital), or risk management tools (e.g., use of derivatives, hedging strategies and insurance)
Financial Modelling: develop financial models to project cash flows, assess risks, and evaluate different financing scenarios to ensure sustainable funding
Investment Strategy: assist in marketing the project to potential investors, structuring investment opportunities, and negotiating terms
Monitoring and Reporting: Following receipt of external finance, provide ongoing financial oversight helping to manage risks and ensure adherence to financial commitments
